IVF SURROGACY
Surrogacy is a method that is used less frequently than other reproductive techniques. And it’s about more than the high cost of the program — the value of the help of another woman is naturally high; the issue is about psychological difficulties and organizational factors. Nevertheless, we recommend this method if a woman is not able to bear her own child, even if she can conceive it. The initial stages of the cycle differ little from the usual program: doctors take sperm and eggs of the couple; embryos are grown in the laboratory and then transfered to the body of a woman. But in this case, the embryo is placed in the uterine of a surrogate mother instead of the maternal body.
LEGAL ASPECTS
Patients fear that the surrogate donor may lay claim to the baby. Such cases have really been in the past, but now all controversial point are discussed and resolved before the start of the IVF program with surrogacy. The agreement on transfer of the baby immediately after childbirth is concluded with surrogate mother, so that, according to the letter of the law, the woman who carried the baby can not lay claim to him. Essentially, she cannot be considered a mother or a blood relative, because the biological material of genetic parents was only used for artificial fertilization.
